Before You Begin

Please ensure that:

• The abstract is written in English. 
• The abstract is approximately 250 words. 
• The work is original and has not already been published elsewhere. 
• All necessary rights and permissions have been obtained. 
• All named authors are aware of and have approved the submission. 
• The proposed presenting author is included in the author list.

Important Information

• Presentation Authors may indicate a preference for oral presentation, ePoster digital display or no preference. 
• Final presentation format will be determined by the EAS Scientific Committee. 
• Authors selected for oral presentation or ePoster display must register for EAS 2027 under the applicable delegate category and attend the Summit in person. 
• If the presenting author changes, the replacement presenter must be a named author on the original submission. 
• Publication Opportunity Selected abstracts may be considered for publication in an open-access supplement to the Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery. 
• Selection for publication consideration is separate from selection for oral presentation or ePoster display and remains subject to the Journal's requirements, completion of required publisher documentation, any requested editorial corrections and final editorial approval by the Journal. 
• Acceptance by EAS does not guarantee publication. 

Important Dates

Abstract submission deadline: 1 December 2026 

Notification of outcome: 10 January 2027 

Deadline to confirm an oral presentation: 25 January 2027 

Deadline for presenting authors to register: 1 March 2027
